Google is going after Calendly. Why is this good news for soloprenuers?

News about Claendly vs Google:

Calendly is a great solution for anyone who needs to keep new clients coming in and can replace the 5% of clients who regularly churn.

With these booking tools, it's a good hedge against suddenly having to deal with more clients churning than you expected in a two month period, which can have a significant negative impact on the cash flow of your business.

However, Google has now developed its own tool that allows you to quickly email your available dates directly to the client!

It's a great option if you need to reschedule an appointment at the last minute and offer a few free slots. Or, for example, set up an appointment with a new client.

Here's a quick guide on how to create free appointments to book right in your email:

  1. The first step is to select the calendar icon at the bottom of your drafted email and click "Offer times you're free

  1. This will pull up your calendar and meeting duration times.

  1. You can select multiple days from here if you'd like to give a bunch of options to the person you're emailing.

After you select the blocks of time for which you can set the duration of each block.

These are the times the recipient will be able to choose from.

Here's what the drafted email will look like once you select your times:

And finally here is what the email will look like to your recipient:

Once the recipient selects the time, it will add the meeting to both calendars and that's it!
